KERRY HILLIS FOR MORAGA TOWN COUNCIL

FRESH IDEAS.
STRONGER MORAGA.

Hi, I’m Kerry Hillis. As your Mayor and a member of the Town Council, I bring fresh thinking, the energy to find common ground, and the drive to turn good ideas into action for Moraga.

WHY I’M RUNNING AGAIN

MORAGA CAN STAY MORAGA AND STILL BE MORE.

That’s why I’m running again. In my first term on the Town Council, I’ve worked to get important things moving on parks and recreation, infrastructure, and housing. Now, a lot of that work is moving from planning toward visible results.

When my family moved to Moraga in 2017, I thought I was finished with politics. Then pedestrian-safety problems on Moraga Road brought my neighbors and me together to ask the Town Council for action. That was my first step into Moraga town affairs.

It showed me what can happen when neighbors come together and local government gets to work.

That experience also got me thinking more broadly about what Moraga can be. I don’t believe Moraga has to choose between preserving what we love and making our town work even better. The best solutions add rather than subtract. We can protect our hills, open space, and neighborhoods while improving parks, mobility, housing choices, local amenities, and Moraga’s long-term financial strength.

The next term is about keeping that work moving, building on what we’ve started, and making sure Moraga remains a remarkable place for the next generation.

MY PRIORITIES

KEEP WHAT WE LOVE. IMPROVE WHAT WE NEED.

The best future for Moraga builds on what already works: protecting what we love while improving our parks, safety, mobility, housing choices, and local amenities.

PROTECT MORAGA’S CHARACTER
Protect our hills, open space, neighborhoods, and semi-rural character while making thoughtful decisions about Moraga’s future.

PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY LIFE
Keep Moraga’s Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan moving forward, expand recreation opportunities, and invest in the places and amenities that bring our community together.

SMART INFRASTRUCTURE & MOBILITY
Invest wisely in roads, trails, traffic systems, safety, and transportation that help people move around Moraga more safely and efficiently.

HOUSING & ECONOMIC VITALITY
Expand housing choices, strengthen our commercial centers and local amenities, and support a stronger economic base while protecting what residents value about Moraga.

Moraga is special because generations of residents have refused to take it for granted. They built strong schools, protected our hills and open spaces, created traditions and community institutions, and showed up again and again when the town needed them. The best way to honor that legacy is to bring the same care and determination to Moraga’s future. That’s the legacy I want to help build for the next generation.
